Autumn in Paris

We had some nice outings in Fontainebleau in september - october, when the weather was still nice.

And another nice, but different, outing to the Fondation Cartier.
We alse went and met Simon at Philippe and Laura's. Alexandre and Jeanne were great buddies.

In novembre, I attended a meeting on buffer strips in Nancy, which meant there was an opportunity to have dinner with Thomas and my niece and nephews (great!). As an additional bonus, we had a field trip and the weather was beautiful.

Agathe, Alice & Lucile, & the Eiffel tower, in the wrong order.

Ruben and Alexandre love going to visit Mahe, exploring her treasures, jumping on the beds, and even using her carrot electric grater. We reach a state of total bliss there.
And then there was the COP 21 ; it was fun to go there and ride a bike to produce electricity for the juice bar. The conference on the impact of climate change on the future temperatures in Paris was a bit depressing however.

Yeah !

Summert 2015 - part 2 - the mountains

Trying to catch up with the present.. mission impossible ?
Anyway, back to the summer past = beginning of august holidays with a week end in Grenoble, at Eric and Virginie's new big house (the swimming pool is truly bigger than our previous place in avenue daumesnil). Ruben was already in Briancon.

Then, we went to Briancon. Ruben and Alexandre were happy-happy there. Us too.

Cascade du Narreyroux.

Une balade à partir du Prorel.

Cascade de la Pisse au-dessus de Saint Chaffrey.

Au plan d'eau de Villeneuve.
Rakhi, Marco, Nora and Neal came for a few days.

The weather was not so good unfortunately during their stay. Eric and Marco managed to run a 10 K and we managed a short walk / picnic to the Laus de cervieres. Marco also cooked a very nice risotto.

After that, we went and visited Francoise & Herve in Aix en Provence.

Then we went accross France to the Cotentin (luckily two thirds of the journey was with the train, and the rest only driving).
Elsa's father had lent us his house in Surtainville : it's a nice old house with a lovely garden in a cute village, not far from the sea.

The weather was so so and coldish. We had to escape one day to go and warm up on a boat tour of cherbourg harbour. But we had also a few very, very nice days of blue skies and warm temperatures.

We played with the sand and in the small ponds left behind by the sea. We looked for crabs and fish and shells. We went to see the fishermen hauling their boats out of the sea. The beach is nice.
