Neemrana

Built from 1464, Neemrana fort was abandoned by the local Raja in 1947. 40 years later, it was restored to become a beautiful hotel and a great week end getaway from Delhi.

The newer part. Our room was right in the middle ; a lovely place with great views.
On the way to our room.
Staying in the fort keeps you (somehow) fit; it's built on 12 different levels, and one is always going up, down, up again.

Sunset.

Dance show at night.

The upper swimming pool, a quiet place to hang out.

From the upper levels.

Staying at the hotel was quite a splurge but also very nice. And in case you're wondering, there's no baby in the picture because we left Ruben behind with the nanny in Delhi. My first time away from him !
Of course we thought about him a lot, but it was really nice to be able to relax and enjoy ourselves as carefree adults for once.
