Weather update

Newspaper headline today: The hottest day and a duststorm.

The maximum temperature yesterday reached 42.6°C (109F) and a duststorm swept the city in the late afternoon.
It is now hot, very hot, and officially so. We are three degrees above normal.

I had to go to the market around noon and took my bicycle to go there. What's 5 min on a bicycle, right ?
Well, you know how it feels when you bike in a sauna under a scorching sun?.. Oh, of course you wouldn't know about that. But now, I do.

The good news? The maximum temperature ever recorded in Delhi was 47.2°C. It can and it will get worse, but it will stop at some point.

(Actually, there is some real good news ; temperatures have dropped since the duststorm and we should go down to 38-39° over the week end. Very nice, isn't it?)
