The coldest day
It's cold around here! Yesterday has even been deemed the 'coldest days on record in Delhi' - which actually means that the maximum temperature reached during the day was the lowest on record at 9.8 °C (or minimax as Eric would say), since 1969.
Night temperature has been around 4 °C, still well above the absolute low recorded (-0.6°C in 1935).
This does not sound too bad except that the houses are not built for this type of weather. Temperature indoor is getting down to record lows as well, what with no insulation, poorly fitted windows, marble floors, high ceilings, etc. We are huddling around the fire in the evening, here our new year's eve.
And of course the real trouble is for all people living, working, and sleeping outside these days. It's really a tough climate here.
